Health & Safety Policies

The priority of Potomac Debate Academy is the health and safety of our community. The policies outlined below are a non-exhaustive list of our procedures for summer debate camp 2024. These procedures are subject to change based on recommendations from local, state, and federal guidelines. We will continue to update our staff, students, and families with the latest information and policy changes.

For the duration of camp, Potomac Debate Academy will follow all current local and state regulations as well as University of Maryland guidelines

Potomac Debate Academy will require all faculty be fully vaccinated prior to the start of camp unless they have proof of a valid medical exemption

Throughout camp, any student who develops symptoms of common illnesses will be asked to take any relevant diagnostic tests, sit out of activities, or be provided medication, if approved by the parent/guardian

Potomac Debate Academy will conduct regular health checks for students and staff members

Wherever possible, we will encourage faculty and students to keep personal and public spaces clean and sanitary

Faculty and students will have continued access to face masks, hand sanitizers and disinfectants
